SUPPORTING STRUCTURE FRAMING: Light steel frame 0.55 to 0.75 mm BMT as shown on Drawings at 450 mm maximum centres within 1200 mm of the building edge and at 450 mm maximum centres for studs elsewhere.
Wind Classification to AS 4055: N1.
Framing Preparation: Ensure the framing is sound and within a tolerance of 3 mm when measured with a 3 metre straight edge. If the tolerance is outside the specified limit, carry out remedial work prior to installation of the cladding.
VAPOUR PERMEABLE SARKING: Install a vapour permeable sarking to AS/NZS 4200.1.
Location: Between the sheeting and the structure.
Vapour Barrier: Low.
Water Barrier: High.
Joints: Centre all joints on a stud or trimmer of 38 mm minimum thickness. Provide additional studs or continuous packers where necessary.
Vertical Joints: Timber battens.

Form corners using "JH PVC External Corner" moulds and "JH PVC Internal Corner" moulds, fixed in accordance with James Hardie`s current instructions and recommendations.
Fastener Durability: Ensure that all fasteners have the appropriate level of durability required for the application. Fasteners must be fully compatible with all other materials that they are in contact with to ensure the durability and integrity of the assembly. Do not use adhesive to fix the cladding.

Corrosion Resistance: To AS 3566.2 Class 3.

INSTALLATION: Install in accordance with James Hardie`s current instructions and recommendations.
Ground Clearance: Where applicable install James Hardie external cladding with a minimum 150 mm clearance to the earth on the exterior of the building or in accordance with local building codes if greater than 150 mm is required. Maintain a minimum 50 mm clearance between James Hardie external cladding and roofs, decks, paths, steps and driveways. Do not install external cladding such that it may remain in contact with standing water.
